NITRO PORTAL INFO
NITRO Portals provide a friendly, intuitive interface for end users to engage with Crow Canyon applications. The portals allow end users to create requests, view and modify existing requests, search the Knowledge Base, and follow links to more information.
Portals come with a pre-set theme. The Portal is available in both the SharePoint Classic UI and the Modern UI. A Portal can be modified, if needed, by the customer or by using Crow Canyon’s Portal Design Services.
Accessing NITRO Portal
NITRO Portal can be accessed from the NITRO Studio App Page.

To install, follow the steps below. The Portal installation will create a new Site in the existing Site Collection. The installation will give an option to link the Portal to one or more Crow Canyon application site(s).
•Navigate to NITRO Applications
•Select 'Classic' or 'Modern' tab as per your preference for SharePoint Classic or Modern UI.
•Select the required Portal application for installation
•Portal can also be created for custom applications, please contact Crow Canyon for details.
Legacy Portal App
For legacy NITRO Portal App based sites, Click on 'Click here' link to manage the portal sites.
Creating a Portal
To create a new Portal, click the "New Portal Site" button:
Below window will open, fill in details to create portal site
Parent Site: Choose the site under which the portal site needs to be created. Generally it will be the corresponding application site (i.e. IT Premium/Facilities/Request Management site)
Site Title: Give the Title for the Portal site. This can be changed later from site settings if needed
Site Address: Give the URL for the Portal site. Please note that it requires lot of configuration changes if URL has to be changed later
License Type: Choose the “Trial” and proceed with the installation, once installation is complete, contact Crow Canyon for permanent license. If no option is available under License Type, please contact Crow Canyon Support. Refer this article to convert the Crow Canyon Trial License to Subscription/Enterprise license.
Deleting a Portal
A Portal can also deleted with the Portal Manager simply be pressing "Delete". Be aware that this will delete all settings and configurations of that Portal (but not the application data).
To upgrade and manage Portal site, click 'Upgrade' and 'Manage' button.
